My friends and I love to find new ideas and creations. Many of those we have found on creative blog spots. Our favorite trips for inspiration are to Warrenton Antiques Fair and of course Pottery Barn!
Here are some pictures of my home so that you can get a glimpse into my world:
This piece of furniture was used at my wedding for the cake and champagne. Even the mirror was hung from a tree behind it. I love it! Usually, my favorite things go on top and I change them out seasonally.
I absolutely love a mural. I think every home should have a collection of pictures, memorabilia and of course letters. I also hung two shadowboxes that I did for my children.
I just love the way suitcases look.
I have collected them from all over the place. They make great storage also- at least for magazines!
Suitcases also look great stacked by your bed as a side table.
My daughter's mural in her room! She LOVES photos!
I really think she needs to be a photographer; she is so talented!
My son's room also has another mural- of course! Obviously he loves baseball.
I have this scripture verse in my bedroom.
I like to be able to look at scripture everyday, so I just write it on the wall.
(Just some more special touches and favorite things.)
I love saving corks. I always try to write a date on them if it was special or a name if it was for someone special. The one that has "Becky" on it was for a very special occasion. Her and her husband announced that they would be expecting a baby! Rounds of champagne- of course Becky had juice!
This wall mural is in our family room. This is our "mission" wall.
The map has pins marking where we have served in the past.
No, those are not photos of my children.
They are children that my family met in Mexico a couple of years ago and we built a house for their family.
It was a special summer for us as it was our first family mission trip!
What memories & lessons we came home with!
More to come....because I'm always adding and redecorating!

Your home is so beautiful! I bet your family feels very loved!
