ALL IN A WEEKS WORK

While Jackson has been at church camp for the week, I decided to finally finish remodeling his room. He has had the cutest cowboy themed room since he was about 2. He thinks it is time to change to something older like sports- (I could keep his room the same for at least 30 more years!)

I started with painting over his cowboy bed with a red- :(

Then I painted his leather dresser the same red.

The fun baseball dart board is from the Pottery Barn Outlet. It is too much fun!
I found all of the "P.L.A.Y." letters at antique fairs.

The Pottery Barn bowling pin is from Jackson's 8th birthday party.
All of his guests signed it!
And of course, I had to do a mural on the wall of his
favorite teams and keepsakes.
The old locker is from my old high school- Go Rattlers!

This is the shadowbox that I made for Jackson at Easter.

I thought this would make for a special wall so Jackson could remember his wonderful memories with Thomas.

My dear Jackson- I truly hope that your room feels peaceful, loving and most importantly fun! I hope you have wonderful memories of your childhood room. Love you with all my heart- Mommy

What a Joyous Celebration

My sister and her little family came for their annual trip to our house for Easter.
They have a new baby girl named Saylor!

She's always so precious in pink and of course her mommy always dresses her up in the best.

We spent the weekend enjoying the beautiful weather and playing in nature.
The bluebonnets this time of year is one of the best reasons to live in Texas.

We spent our Easter Sunday at my in-laws and just had a great day of playing.
My sister and her son, Tripp, enjoy an Easter cupcake in the shade.

Tripp really enjoyed the cupcake!

My three year old nephew, Lawson the "pro skateboarder", tried and tried to teach Tripp how to do it right, but for some reason, it just didn't work out right...

I wonder why?

For this Easter, I decided to make my son, Jackson, something special.
I made him a shadowbox with memories of his best friend Thomas who passed away in February. I wasn't sure what his reaction would be, but when he saw the keepsake he had the sweetest look on his face and just smiled at me.

Lot's more memories to come!
